Of course, with Beta still alive there's a good likelihood the war isn't quite over, but even so, killing Alpha is a huge victory for the survivors. It's still unclear what exactly Negan and Carol agreed upon, but the fact remains that with Alpha gone, the Whisperers are now considerably less of a threat. In a previous Walking Dead season 10 episode, Negan kills the Whisperers' leader, Alpha, having apparently been convinced to do so by Carol.
